7:33 P.M. Maintenance work on the Argon HPC system has completed, and users may log in and use the cluster as normal. Thank you for your patience.
3:55 PM March 10, 2017: Neon was brought back on line and queued jobs have begun running.
Sunday, March 5, 2017 - This issue appears to be caused by a large number of complicated jobs being submitted to the system. This is causing the scheduler to slow down and thus significant time being taken to schedule new jobs.
9:10AM - Neon home storage is available again. We were able to locate the cause of the problem and resolve it to bring the system back online fully. We will continue to monitor the system to see if this crops up again. You should now be able to login and continue your work.
Previously, files on Neon's /nfsscratch filesystem older than the retention policy's maximum age of 60 days after creation have not been automatically removed upon expiration, and the filesystem has reached capacity.
