At approximately 1:00 P.M., the Neon cluster began experiencing extremely high loads on both login nodes and the home directory server. Users may experience a marked slowdown in operations or be unable to login. The HPC team is investigating and will provide updates as they become available.
UPDATE: 1:42 P.M. Queues on the cluster have been disabled in order to prevent jobs from launching while the issues with the home directory server are being investigated.
UPDATE: 2:02 P.M. Queues have been re-enabled.
UPDATE: 3:10 P.M. The system has been stabilized. The HPC staff will continue to monitor.
