HPC Systems Administrator Baylen Brus (left) and Student Systems Administrator Trey Godbolt attended the Practice & Experience in Advanced Research Computing (PEARC19) conference in Chicago, Illinois July 28-August 1. The ITS-Research Services employees blogged about their experiences via STEM-Trek Nonprofit.  

From the PEARC19 website: This conference explored the current practice and experience in advanced research computing including modeling, simulation, and data-intensive computing. A primary focus was on machine learning and artificial intelligence which are proving to be disruptive technologies in a diverse range of scientific fields from materials science to medicine.
