Introduction to HPC (Helium and Neon)

Description: 

ITS – Research Services is holding a two hour introductory training session on using the Helium Cluster.  This session is intended for anyone who will be running jobs on Helium.  During this training session we will discuss:

How to make the most effective use of HPC resources
Connecting to the Helium cluster
Launching HPC jobs
Getting your data to and from Helium
Getting access to the software you need.

This training session will be taught be Ben Rogers, Director of Research Services, and will provide both lecture-based and hands-on training. The session will take place May 22nd from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a break in the middle and will be located in the IT Training Room in the UCC Conference Center on the second floor of the Old Capital Mall. 

There is room for 15 people.  Please sign up using the form below if you are interested in attending.  Registration is first come first served.  If you are unable to attend the session after signing up, please let Research Services staff know.

Please note: In order to complete the in class activities, you will need a Helium account.
